Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
